Zuca Product Care
Wood Furniture Care
Wood and wood veneers are a natural product which display unique characteristics including veins, knots and colours. To keep your new purchase looking its best we suggest the following care and maintenance.
- Regularly dust with a soft cloth to avoid dust build up.
- Immediately clean any spillages using a soft, damp cloth and dry immediately.
- Keep furniture out of direct light and heat sources and try to limit variations in humidity and temperature. This will limit the natural movement of timber.
- We suggest moving objects (such as books, vases) on wooden surfaces to avoid discolouration.
- Do not use abrasive silicone-based products or abrasive sponges or detergents
- Protect the surface when placing hot objects such as tea or coffee by placing a coaster underneath.
- Protect your floors by lifting, not dragging furniture
Fabric Furniture Care
Depending on the fabric type and how you maintain it will determine how long it will last. Both natural and synthetic fibres can fade and are susceptible to pilling, this is not a fault of the fabric. Synthetic fibres are more durable than natural. To keep your new purchase looking its best we suggest the following care and maintenance.
- Periodically clean your furniture to remove dust using a soft brush or low-suction vacuum cleaner with an upholstery brush attachment.
- Immediately clean up any spillages with a dry, colour-fast cloth Do not use any strong detergents or cleaning chemicals. Clean in a circular movement, do not rub the fabric. Pre-test the care product in a hidden area to ensure the product is compatible with the fabric.
- Keep furniture out of direct light and heat sources and try to limit variations in humidity and temperature. This will help to minimise colour loss and fibre damage.
- Pilling can occur and is not seen as a fault. The use of a lint shave or fabric stone can be used if this occurs.
- Keep your furry friends away from direct contact with the fabric to prevent scratching and added dirt.
- Avoid transfer of dyes from certain clothing and medicated creams onto the fabric surface.
- Lift the furniture from its base. Do not drag or lift by armrests. Do not push or pull, jump on the furniture or sit on the arms.
- We recommend professional upholstery cleaning, especially if the whole piece requires cleaning and you are in doubt as to how to clean.
Metal Furniture Care
To keep your new purchase looking its best we suggest the following care and maintenance.

- When cleaning stainless steel wipe in one direction, rinse well and dry to prevent streaking. Do not use products which may scrape the surface of the product.
- Do not use abrasive silicone-based products or abrasive sponges or detergents.
Polypropylene Care
To keep your new purchase looking its best we suggest the following care and maintenance.
* The lifespan and colour of the product will be increased if they are protected from the environment when not in use. We recommend covering or storing the furniture when not being used.
* Regularly clean with a soft cloth to avoid dust build up.
* Immediately clean any spillages using a soft, damp cloth and dry immediately.
* Do not use abrasive silicone-based products or abrasive sponges or detergents
* UV stabilised products with slow the degradation of the PU, this does not prevent fading.
Rug Care
To keep your new purchase looking its best we suggest the following care and maintenance.
- Regularly vacuum using a low-suction vacuum cleaner to prevent dust and dirt settling into the fibre roots.
- Keep out of direct sunlight.
- Rotate rug every 3 months where it is in a sunny spot or a main thoroughfare. This will help to limit uneven fading and wear.
- Do not pull any loose threads, instead trim back carefully.
- Shedding of a new rug for the first 6 months can be common. This can be treated with regular vacuuming.
- Any spills can be treated by soaking up any excess moisture with a clean cloth then blotting with a damp cloth.
- Consult a professional rug cleaner for more stubborn stains.
- We recommend a rug underlay when there is a risk of dye transfer onto the surface underneath. An underlay also protects flooring and prevents the rug from moving.
- Keep away from open flames
